At Moon Hall School, we seek to give our
pupils access to all that has proven benefit in the field of I.C.T.
Hardware in the School’s Computer Room is replaced on a three
year cyclical basis and a licencing arrangement ensures that operating
systems and Microsoft software is always the latest version.
We are progressively equipping all classrooms with interactive whiteboards
and associated technology.
We have a multiple licence for
voice-to-text software and are encouraging specific pupils, where
pertinent, to dictate their work into word-processing programs.
Every child is taught to touch
type at MHS from the age of seven.
Aims:
to
extend the range of I.C.T. tools that they use for communication,
investigation and control
- to become discerning
in their use of I.C.T.
- to select information,
sources and media for their suitability of purpose
- to assess the value of I.C.T.
in their working practices.
